Nature has taught humans many things, such as radar from bats, anti-counterfeiting banknotes from butterfly wings, electronic frog eyes from frogs' eyes, and the stable hexagonal structure of bee honeycombs. Bees choose hexagons with the largest angles for their honeycombs, ensuring that each cell is tightly packed together to protect their eggs and hatch their delicate larvae.

Inspired by the honeycomb's shape, a new type of cushioning packaging—honeycomb mailers—has been developed to protect products, ensuring safety, stability, shock resistance, and drop resistance.

Three-Dimensional Honeycomb Structure—Superior Protection

To produce Honeycomb Mailers, long-fiber coniferous trees are processed into kraft paper. This paper is then perforated in a honeycomb pattern. During use, the paper is stretched, causing the perforations to shift and form a three-dimensional hexagonal honeycomb structure. These three-dimensional cells absorb most of the impact vibration while transmitting the dampened vibration back and forth between adjacent cells, providing a cushioning and protective effect.
